MATTEO FATO
Pescara 1979, lives and works in Pescara.
Against singularity and the impossibility of unicity, Fato researches into the continual deferment, regarding the mystery of concomitance; he carries out comparisons between orders of reality, placed in reciprocal relationship with the mediation of painting. He wants to find the specular knot that connects a thing to its image, which is the work of art, and overcome the heterogeneity of natural and likely things though unnatural connections and unlikely attributions. The formal cause precedes the material cause Fato overturns the relationship between appearance and reality. It is not art that imitates Nature, but vice-versa. This may appear to be a corruption of naturalism, while it is the ministry of the world that is subjected to painting. In this sense, the entire world is subjugated to painting.
